Field Timer

Lesson Video Time: 2:29 Minutes

Lesson Progress:

Field timers wait until the date and time set in a date field in the contact record to run the next action in the sequence

Use a Field Timer to delay until a specific date set in the contact record. Examples would be a birthday campaign, an evergreen offer campaign, or a subscription billing campaign.

  1. Drag a Field Timer snippet onto the canvas in a Sequence
  2. Double-click to configure the Timer
  3. Select the amount of time to wait until (before or after) the date in the field
  4. Select which field
  5. Select whether you want it to run on the next occurrence of that date (run every year) or only in the year in the date in the field
  6. Select what time of the day you want the timer to run
  7. Publish the campaign

Why are contacts slipping through my timers?

If multiple timers are connected directly, Infusionsoft will ignore the first timers and skip to the last one. If you have unpublished elements in between Timers, when published, the system just sees the timers connected directly and contacts skip to the last timer (you can see this in reporting view).
