What Is An API Goal?

API Goals can be achieved via computer programming languages that talk to Infusionsoft’s back-end via the API. Some 3rd party tools can trigger API goals in Infusionsoft.

Why Would I Use An API Goal?

You would only use an API Goal if a 3rd party tool can only achieve API goals and not apply tags.

How Do I Set Up An API Goal?

  1. Drag the API Goal snippet onto the Campaign Builder canvas
  2. Double-click to configure the goal
  3. Enter the API Call Name (usually provided by the 3rd party tool or developer)
  4. Connect the goal to the sequence(s) you’d like to trigger
  5. Publish the campaign

The Way

Use Trigger tags instead of API goals. Almost All 3rd party tools can apply tags, not all of them can achieve API goals.  Only use API goals when necessary.
